Who We are Seeking

MassCUE is seeking a driven and energetic person to fill the role of administrative assistant. As a small, growing and fully remote nonprofit organization, we are seeking an innovative, self-sufficient individual that has a collaborative mindset. This job will entail both website maintenance as well as traditional administrative duties. This position will aid the organization in the following:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, Staff and Board Members
  • Be the contact liaison for members (which include K-12 educators and administrators)
  • Manage and maintain the Organization’s website
  • Debug pages and fix broken links and/or images
  • Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g., traffic, conversions)
  • Address user complaints
  • Event Management System (EMS) Upkeep (e.g., Swoogo, Wild Apricot, etc.)
  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage executives’ calendars and set up meetings
  • Plan and organize fundraising and/or donation campaigns in collaboration with corporate liaison
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Perform Office Manager duties by conducting conference supply inventory count and ordering, postage mail retrieval, and directing phone calls to appropriate correspondence
  • Format information for internal and external communication
  • To include: memos, emails, presentations and reports
  • Take minutes during meetings (staff, Board and committee)
  • Organize and maintain the digital office filing system

Qualifications

  • Current Massachusetts resident; preferably within a 50 mile radius of Greater Boston
  • Effective and timely communication skill, both written and verbal
  • HTML and/or related coding experience
  • Familiarity with website maintenance standards
  • Working knowledge of website management tools
  • Event Coordination experience
  • Booking venues, catering, travel accommodations, etc
  • Google Workspace; Docs, Sheets, Drive, Meet, Calendar, etc
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Passion for education technology and a commitment to the organization’s mission
  • Nonprofit and/or education field experience (preferred but not required)
  • Graphic Design experience (preferred but not required)
  • Fundraising experience (preferred but not required)

Position Compensation and Perks

  • 0.8FTE (32 hours/week) salaried
  • $55,000 Base Salary
  • $5,000 health insurance stipend
  • Fully remote; with the exception of weekly office check-in and occasional organization event attendance

  • 4 weeks PTO, plus 11 paid Federal holidays
