Sanaea Simmons



Sanaea Simmons is a current undergraduate student at the College of the Holy Cross. Sanaea is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in history and a minor in education. As a member of Holy Cross’s Teacher Education Program, Sanaea is studying educational psychology, English language learners, urban schooling, and teaching methodology.

While studying at Holy Cross, Sanaea plays on the Division I varsity women’s volleyball team and is also a member of various clubs including the Black Student Union, Prosper-her, Caribbean African Student Assemblage, and Women of Color Athletes. She serves on three student advisory committees, one for the athletic department and two for academic departments on campus, history and education. She is both a three year Dean’s List and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll honoree.

Additionally, Sanaea volunteers as a fellow for Team Impact, an organization that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved.

Starting in Fall 2023, Sanaea will start her pre-service teaching academic year at South High Community School located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
