I&A Update: Back to School Connectivity Challenge

November I&A Update:
Back to School Connectivity Challenge

Online For All

The US Office of Educational Technology (OET) is hoping to share information about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) designed to support families in getting access to the internet. They currently have 21 million households that have gained access through ACP but there are 48 million eligible households, so there is still work to be done. To help to educate families and educational institutes about the program the OET is having a Back to School Connectivity Challenge. OET is hoping this challenge will help get more families internet connection through ACP.

OET would also like to make schools aware of an upcoming competitive grant that will be available the first of the year. The OET believes it is important to make folks aware of the grant now to help them start to plan so schools and nonprofits aren’t crunched for time to apply. Start thinking about the grant and what your school needs may be.
