MassCUE President Tracy Sockalosky just got back f MassCUE President Tracy Sockalosky just got back from ISTELive 26 + ASCD in Orlando — and she's still unpacking everything she learned. 💭

Her 5 takeaways:
1️⃣ There's no such thing as the end of the learning journey — even 20+ years in, there's always more to discover (and unlearn).
2️⃣ "Tech" isn't the problem, and bans aren't the answer. As one panelist put it: "There is no research out there that shows well-built technology, implemented well, hurts academic, personal or social outcomes."
3️⃣ We still have work to do for historically underserved students — UDL matters as much today as it did 20 years ago.
4️⃣ Assessment must be a focus of every educator. "If students lack clarity, it's not teaching, it is tutoring."
5️⃣ Connections matter. Community and camaraderie are essential in a profession as demanding as ours.

Tracy also gives a first look at what's ahead at MassCUE Fall Conference 2026 — the session proposals dig into the exact themes (assessment, inclusive practice, the future of ed tech) that have her thinking post-ISTE.
