Bill Runey is the Superintendent of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District, bringing 37 years of diverse educational experience in both public and private settings. His career—from classroom teacher to administrator—has been driven by a passion for student success and community-centered leadership. A signature accomplishment is his development of the district’s Portrait of a Graduate, a cornerstone of the strategic plan DRiving Toward 2030, which focuses on empowering staff, igniting student learning, and shaping the future. Bill has led initiatives in collaborative planning, municipal partnerships, fundraising, and student enrichment. He has been invited to speak at national conferences on strategic planning, community engagement, and crisis communication, and was recently honored with Tech & Learning’s 2025 Superintendent Award for Visionary Leadership and Innovation.
