STEM at a Crossroads: Funding, Workforce Readiness

STEM at a Crossroads: Funding, Workforce Readiness, and What Comes Next

The STEM education landscape is changing rapidly. Shifting funding priorities, emerging technologies, especially AI, and evolving workforce demands are raising important questions about how we prepare young people for the future.
During this webinar hosted by Partnerships in Education and Resilience (PEAR), join Jan Morrison and Dr. Gil Noam for a timely conversation about what these changes mean for STEM education, youth-serving organizations, and the investments needed to support the next generation.

Together, Jan and Gil will explore:
✅ The future of STEM funding: Where investments are shifting and what it means for schools, programs, and regional STEM ecosystems.
✅ Workforce trends and emerging opportunities: How changing industries and technologies are reshaping STEM education and career pathways.
✅ Skills for an unpredictable future: Why durable, transferable skills are essential for young people's long-term success.
✅ Connecting education and opportunity: How STEM ecosystems can bring together educators, employers, funders, and communities to strengthen career readiness.

Designed for educators, STEM ecosystem leaders, workforce development partners, funders, researchers, and youth-serving organizations, this conversation will offer perspectives on where the field is headed and what leaders should be thinking about now.
