Rochelle Cooper has been a certified educator for the past 15 years.  She began her teaching career as a special education 1:1 aide and spent the next 10 years as a 5th grade classroom teacher at Lynnfield Middle School.   Rochelle received her undergraduate degree in English from Holy Cross College and her Master’s Degree in Teaching from Simmons College. She is currently enjoying her position as the Learning Services Assistant for MassCUE – coordinating PD opportunities for educators.  

 

 

Online Session 1: Priority #1 – Supporting Your Students’ Social Emotional Needs 

Supporting your students SEL needs is especially important during this uncertain time.  Gain insight on activities and resources that encourage the social emotional balance and mindfulness of your remote learners.

 Online Session 2: Differentiating Asynchronous and Synchronous Learning Experiences  

In this session, we will evaluate how both asynchronous and synchronous tools can be used to differentiate learning experiences for all students. We will also explore features within these tools that can give students the power to control the pace and path of their learning.

Online Session 3: Executive Functioning Tools and Strategies for Remote Learners 

In this session we will explore tools that support the skills that fall under the executive functioning umbrella – such as organization, time management, and task planning/prioritization within the distance learning realm.

  • Google Classroom Features to Support Organization 
  • Time Management Tools for Remote Learners 

Online Session 4: Tech Tools for SEI and Students with Learning Disabilities 

Use virtual tools to create an effective and positive learning environment for ELLs and students with learning disabilities. Explore a variety of tools and Google Add-ons that can be used in conjunction with Docs, Sheets and forms to help students excel in their learning environment.
