How We Designed an Elementary DLCS Course

Learning Tour Overview

Worcester Public Schools’ Instructional Technology and Digital Learning Coaches, Bethany Emery and Laura Cahill, will explain how Worcester Public Schools created a technology enrichment course based on the ISTE Standards for students for all K-5 students in the district. Participants will hear about the planning process, rationale, unit creation, professional development, and ongoing assessment of this course, now in its second year of implementation. Participants will receive a copy of the course standards matrix created by WPS.

Agenda for the tour: 

Bethany Emery and Laura Cahill will give a summary explanation of how the course was built and implemented using slides with relevant visuals. Participants will then be welcomed to ask questions about all steps of the process.
