MassCUE is governed by a team of passionate volunteers who drive the organization’s mission to Educate, Connect, and Inspire educators across the commonwealth.

The MassCUE Board of Directors is made up of educators with a strong interest in digital teaching and learning. This group of volunteers brings a variety of skills and expertise to MassCUE and plays a key role in the organization’s strategic direction. They are innovators, thought leaders and community connectors. Above all, they are committed to MassCUE’s mission to educate, connect, and inspire educators across the commonwealth.

Leo Brehm
PRESIDENT, INTERIM, APPOINTED, 2025Leo currently serves as a School Business Administrator and has had a distinguished career in Massachusetts education. His roles have included CIO/CTO, director of technology, instructional technology specialist, and edtech entrepreneur. Driven by a passion for advancing education through technology and leadership, Leo currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Reynolds Center for Teaching, Learning, and Creativity. Jacqueline Collins
TREASURER, INTERIM, APPOINTED, 2025Jacqueline Collins returns as Treasurer of the MassCUE Board of Directors, having previously served on the board for nine years, including eight as Treasurer. A National Board Certified Teacher in Career and Technical Education, she specializes in Business, Marketing, and Financial Services. Since 2006, Jacqueline has been a business teacher and instructional technology specialist at Mansfield High School. A passionate advocate for financial literacy, she co-authored the 2021 National Standards for Personal Financial Education. Throughout her career, she has held numerous leadership roles at both the state and national levels. She currently serves as an Innovation Educator Fellow with the STARTedUP Foundation.
Jacqueline holds a BSBA in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Stonehill College, an MBA in Marketing from Marist College, and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instructional Technology from Framingham State University. She also earned a Certificate in Online Learning and Teaching from Endicott College.

Ellen M. Driscoll

“Zealous” describes Ellen’s attitude toward life and learning. She has worked as an aide, substitute, and a high school technology teacher before becoming a Technology Systems Administrator for Barnstable and Plymouth. Ellen retired as Chief Technology Officer from Middleborough Public Schools. Her connection to MassCUE as an organization with its values and dedicated members has been central to her growth and devotion to technology and learning.
Ellen first discovered MassCUE as an elementary computer teacher and joined a SIG in 1994. She has witnessed and worked for the dramatic growth in MassCUE. Receiving the 2008 MassCUE Pathfinder Award was a lifetime achievement. In 2015, ISTE recognized Ellen’s work advocating for Technology in Massachusetts with a plaque at their annual conference in June in Philadelphia. Again in 2017, she was awarded the coveted ISTE Making IT Happen (Jacket) Award representing MassCUE.
Ellen has had the pleasure of serving as the secretary on the MassCUE Board for ten years and returns now to fulfill that role again as the Interim 2025 Secretary. She has served on the Conference Committee, Influence and Advocacy Committee and the founding Board of METAA. In 2008, she was appointed by the state Commissioner of Education to the Educational Technology Advisory Council for two terms. Ellen spent six years as an elected School Committee member representing the residents of Mattapoisett, where she still lives with her husband, John and rescue dog Pepe. Their three children have made them proud grandparents of nine young adults.

Tracy Sockalosky

Tracy is a past member of the MassCue Board of Directors and has been presenting at the annual conference since 2012. Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education and her Bachelors in History and History of Art from University of Michigan.

Prior to her role in building leadership, Tracy was a Social Studies teacher and Instructional Technology specialist with the Natick Public Schools for 11 years (2011-2022) and at the Carroll School in Lincoln for the ten years prior to that (2001-2011). She is also a United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Teacher Fellow and USC Shoah Foundation Teacher Innovator.
Tracy holds a Master of Education in Organizational Leadership from Endicott College, a Master of Education in Mind, Brain and Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and an undergraduate degree in History and History of Art from the University of Michigan.

Melissa Zeitz
BOARD MEMBER, APPOINTED, 2025-2026Melissa Zeitz is a teacher with over 20 years of experience in the Springfield Public School District, where she currently specializes in Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) for grades PreK-8, after many years of teaching Special Education.
Melissa is committed to fostering creativity and problem-solving in her students while empowering them to understand the world around them and become the innovators who shape a better future. Her influence extends beyond the classroom as she delivers DLCS and Edtech training to teachers at conferences nationwide, serves as the technology and resource coordinator for the CSforAll Springfield grant, facilitator for CSforMA, co authored the DLCS curriculum guide book for MA, and is Co President of CSTA Massachusetts chapter. She was honored with the PAEMST in 2018 and the CS Teaching Excellence Award in 2023, recognizing her passion and dedication to teaching computer science to elementary students.

He has been involved in the educational technology field for 25 years working previously at Easthampton (MA) Public Schools and Miss Hall’s School in Pittsfield. He has hosted the Western Mass Googlepalooza as well as Lunch and Learn Conferences for technology leaders in the western part of the state.

Bill Runey
ADVISOR TO THE BOARDBill Runey is the Superintendent of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District, bringing 37 years of diverse educational experience in both public and private settings. His career—from classroom teacher to administrator—has been driven by a passion for student success and community-centered leadership. A signature accomplishment is his development of the district’s Portrait of a Graduate, a cornerstone of the strategic plan DRiving Toward 2030, which focuses on empowering staff, igniting student learning, and shaping the future. Bill Runey
ADVISOR TO THE BOARDBill Runey is the Superintendent of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District, bringing 37 years of diverse educational experience in both public and private settings. His career—from classroom teacher to administrator—has been driven by a passion for student success and community-centered leadership. A signature accomplishment is his development of the district’s Portrait of a Graduate, a cornerstone of the strategic plan DRiving Toward 2030, which focuses on empowering staff, igniting student learning, and shaping the future. Bill has led initiatives in collaborative planning, municipal partnerships, fundraising, and student enrichment. He has been invited to speak at national conferences on strategic planning, community engagement, and crisis communication, and was recently honored with Tech & Learning’s 2025 Superintendent Award for Visionary Leadership and Innovation.

Tony Wagner
ADVISOR TO THE BOARDA globally recognized voice in education, Tony Wagner currently serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Learning Policy Institute, founded by Linda Darling-Hammond in 2015. Prior to this appointment, Tony held a variety of positions at Harvard University for more than twenty years, including four years as an Expert in Residence at the Harvard Innovation Lab and the founder and co-director, for more than a decade, of the Change Leadership Group at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His previous work experience includes twelve years as a high school teacher, K-8 principal, university professor in teacher education, and founding executive director of Educators for Social Responsibility.
Tony is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and a widely published author. His work includes numerous articles and eight books. Creating Innovators: The Making of Young People Who Will Change The World, was published in 2012 and has been translated into 19 languages. His 2008 book, The Global Achievement Gap continues to be an international best seller, with more than 150,000 copies in print. Tony’s memoir, Learning By Heart: An Unconventional Education, was published by Penguin/Random House in 2020. His latest book, Mastery: Why Deeper Learning is Essential in an Age of Distraction, will be published by Basic Books in September 2025.
Tony served as the Strategic Education Advisor for a major education documentary, “Most Likely to Succeed,” which had its world premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and has since been shown in more than 15,000 communities around the world. He also collaborated with noted filmmaker Robert Compton to create a 60 minute documentary, “The Finland Phenomenon: Inside The World’s Most Surprising School System.” Tony has served on the board of several nonprofits, including the Mastery Transcript Consortium and Better World Ed.
Tony earned an M.A.T. and an Ed.D. at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
