A Letter to All the Amazing Educators

Last year’s MassCUE Fall Conference was a powerful reminder of why this community matters so much. As I walked through the spaces around Gillette Stadium, I was struck by a feeling I remembered from my very first conference in 2010. It felt like stepping into Wonderland. Everywhere I turned, educators were connecting, educating, and inspiring one another. The energy was contagious, and the passion for learning was everywhere.

Moments like these remind me that MassCUE is far more than a conference. It is a community of educators who believe in lifting one another up, sharing what works, and growing together. The connections formed here ripple far beyond the event itself, impacting classrooms and learners across our region.

That spirit of collaboration and innovation is exactly what we hope to continue this year as we move Forward and Beyond. Our theme reflects the idea that together we can shape and shift the future of education by sharing bold ideas, amplifying innovative practices, and ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive.

The MassCUE Fall Conference Call for Proposals (RFP) is now open, and we would be honored to have you share your ideas, experiences, and passions with our community. Every educator brings something valuable to the conference, and it is the collective knowledge and creativity of our presenters that make the MassCUE experience so impactful.

The conference offers multiple opportunities for educators and students to present. This year’s theme, Forward and Beyond, encourages a variety of presentation formats, including:

  • Traditional workshops
  • Educator panels
  • Interactive educator playgrounds
  • 1:1 thought partner connections
  • A special area for student sessions and panels

In addition, students are now welcome to be part of any session proposal, whether presenting alongside educators or leading learning experiences themselves in our CUEKid area!

Remember, what may seem routine to you in your role could be transformative for someone else. Your strategies, ideas, and stories have the power to inspire fellow educators and spark new possibilities in classrooms and schools.

Every voice shared at MassCUE helps move our profession forward, and your experience might be exactly what another educator needs to hear.

We encourage you to take a deep dive into the submission guide to learn more about presenting at this year’s event. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to know, including the link to submit a session proposal.

We hope you will consider sharing your voice and helping us move Forward and Beyond together this October.

With much gratitude,
Dr. Rayna L. Freedman
