EdTech Virtual Fly-In

On March 9, 2022 four members of the Influence & Advocacy Committee attended an afternoon of meetings to discuss current federal initiatives in educational technology. Colleen Terrill, Heidi MacGregor, Jenn Judkins and Karen Winsper met with representatives from Senator Ed Markey’s and Senator Elizabeth Warren’s offices. Later in the afternoon, our team participated in a roundtable discussion with the Department of Education.

The primary issues discussed were Student Data Privacy and K-12 Cybersecurity.

This event was organized by CoSN, SETDA, ISTE, and SIIA and was attended by educators and administrators from 34 states.
