Sarah Connell studied English and Education at Fordham University and received an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College. Sarah’s students are highly engaged in project-based learning in the town of Auburn; they recently orchestrated a TEDx event that generated more than half a million views on Youtube. Last year, Sarah and her students activated a historic green space using mobile technology and public art as tools to strengthen the community’s relationship with its natural ecosystem. In addition, Sarah is a regular contributor to a variety of publications including Worcester Magazine, Discover Central Mass, and Worcester Business Journal.

Lytania Mackey Knowles started as a science teacher in Swampscott and has been a school and district administrator for the past 8 years. Lytania enjoys supporting educators by planning and delivering meaningful and relevant professional development and training. She is having the most fun when she is working with the tech ninjas help desk program or teaching students and teachers new tips & tricks around technology.  Her favorite training is about Improving Your Workflow and she teaches anyone who wants to learn about how to manage a busy life with the tools that Google has developed. In her spare time, she can be found in a sunny spot reading her Kindle, obsessing over the latest google tips she learned from twitter, or traveling/golfing with her husband.

Ryan McHale, host of the education-based podcast, Pondering Education, is currently in the middle of his ninth year as an English language arts teacher in Milford, Massachusetts. He works with 8th grade students in hopes of preparing them, academically and socially, for the challenges that await them in high school. In addition to fulfilling his role as a classroom teacher, Ryan serves as Stacy Middle School’s Curriculum Coordinator and Gay-Straight Alliance advisor. He is currently working to earn his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New England.  Ryan lives in Milford, Massachusetts with his wife, Shannon, and two children, Landon and Sadie.
