June I&A Update:
Ed Tech Advocacy and Policy Fly-In
[1]The Ed Tech Advocacy and Policy Fly-In took place in Washington, DC on May 1-2, 2023. Colleen Terrill, Jenn Judkins, Karen Winsper and Kirsten Prinn from the MassCUE Influence & Advocacy Committee attended the event where they met with legislators and fellow advocates from across the country.
During the event, our MassCUE representatives attended presentations by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Office of Educational Technology (OET). They also met with staff members from Senator Markey and Senator Warren’s offices to discuss the future of the E-rate, student data privacy, ed tech appropriations, cybersecurity, digital citizenship, educator professional development, and addressing the homework gap.
