Joy Lab: Rapid-Fire Empathy-Fueled Innovation
[1]How might we bring authentic joy to colleagues using four paper clips and a pair of index cards? Find out in this session, where Dan Ryder will present an interactive "Joy Lab." Attendees will explore how to harness the power of empathy to spark creative solutions using the 5E Design Process (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate).
Visit the Joy Lab to help you better connect with one another, as well as practice both a mindset and a process that can be applied to any learning environment. Upon completion of this hands-on interactive design sprint, participants will have used a empathy-driven design process, prototyped a means of bringing joy to their partner, and experienced a different perspective on innovation.
Participants will first explore their own joyful experiences and identifying the forces that strip them of their joy. During empathy phase, participants then learn what brings a session partner joy.
The path forward for all of us starts with empathy. By providing MassCUE participants with a strategy they can employ in any learning or professional environment, we can move the needle forward with more human-centered, more innovative approaches to solving problems. It starts with truly seeing and hearing the people around us.
