Transforming Your Traditional Lab

Learning Tour Overview

This tour will give you an inside look at an innovative/flexible lab space in a middle school creative environment. In recent years with the move to 1 to 1 and the adoption of multiple online tools, the traditional technology lab had become unused. A recent grant helped me to transform the lab into a creation space adding a green screen area, audio recording area, collaboration area, and a stop motion area while maintaining space for traditional use.

It has transformed into a space where kids want to be for interdisciplinary multimedia production and modeling of 21st century skills by both teachers and students. Come see the lab in action: the tools/equipment used, management procedures, sample projects, and how engaged/excited the students are.
