Learning Tour Overview

Provide school leaders with the space to rethink leading and learning in a pandemic (as defined by Adam Grant in “Think Again”).  

Agenda for the tour: 

Participants will explore digital tools and strategies that will support efforts to create and maintain an inclusive school community that prioritizes relationships and connections. There will also be time set aside to collaborate and integrate new learning into their work in schools. Tools explored include: Smore, Youtube, Menti, Peardeck, Twitter, Jamboard, Google Slides

About

Brenda Maurao is an educational leader who is committed to creating an inclusive school community that supports students, empowers teachers and engages families.  She is currently serving as the principal of Stapleton Elementary School in Framingham, and has ten years of experience in school administration. In her work as a building and district leader, she has realized the importance of identifying THE WHY in our work and supporting educators, students, and families in doing this, too.  She is also committed to applying and modeling the tenets of Universal Design for Learning with educators. Brenda is genuine and transparent and prioritizes the establishment of relationships with students, staff and families first.   Brenda has embraced the challenge of leading and learning in a pandemic and this workshop will showcase the silver linings of this work.
