Learning Tour Overview

The demands and the opportunities of the 21st Century challenge our students to learn and to think in new ways. We are proud to be able to offer an exciting and enriching opportunity for students who are interested in increasing their global awareness and gaining 21st Century Skills. 

Participants attending the tour will gain understanding of what a global citizenship program is, how to implement one, how it benefits students, and where technology fits into program as a whole.

Jenn Orlinski & Cindy Derrane 



Cindy Derrane is currently the Vice Principal at Norwood High School, after serving as a Foreign Language teacher and Department Chair for over twenty years. The Global Citizenship Program is her dream realized.  

Jenn Orlinski came to Norwood eight years ago as the Social Studies Department Chair after teaching History at Arlington High School for nine years. Teaming up with Cindy gave her an opportunity to see Civics, Social Sciences, and Foreign Language come together to create an amazing program where students get to showcase their passions and become true Global Citizens. 

Norwood High School is a very diverse community committed to developing students in the 4As: Academics, Athletics, Arts, and Activities. Our students embody these As as student-athletes, musicians, actors, AP students, Engineers, television anchors, Global Citizens, and so much more.
