Re-ignite Your Creativity at Better Together 2022

What do the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year, a venue known for exceptional artistic experiences, and the leading education organizations in the Commonwealth have in common? They will all work together to help you Re-ignite Your Creativity later this summer at the Better Together event. This event, which is sponsored by MassCUE, the Massachusetts School Library Association (MSLA) [1], Massachusetts ASCD [2]  and GBH Education [3] is set for August 25, 2022 from 3:30 to 6:00pm – just in time to set the tone for a new school year.

Marta Garcia

The keynote speaker for the event will be Massachusetts Teacher of the Year Marta García [4], a teacher of multilingual students for the Salem Public Schools. In her role, García works to help students nurture their identities and feel proud of their origins as they add a new culture and language to their knowledge. Educators are sure to find inspiration her dedication to empowering students to find their voices.

Another source of inspiration will come from the venue itself. The event will take place at the Mosesian Center for the Arts [5], known for offering exceptional experiences in theater, visual experiences and literary arts. Educators will get the chance to reflect and share ways to incorporate creativity during informal “creativity rounds”. Additionally, educators will have time to network with other professionals while enjoying refreshments.

The event wraps up with an opportunity to continue the conversation at the City Works Brewery nearby. It’s the perfect way to prepare for back to school.
