This session presents and discusses the best practices in technology in school districts across the state- as collected by the MASS Superintendent Technology Committee. Best practices are presented in 21 categories including: Biometrics; Student Management; Security; Wireless; Student Assessment; Food Services Tech; Transportation Tech; Library Automation; On-Line Learning; and more. Come discuss what is happening in your district- as well as learn what is going on in other school districts in Massachusetts.

Bio

Dr. Ed Costa came to East Longmeadow Public Schools in July of 1998. Previously, Dr. Costa has served as a public school and district administrator in Oklahoma, and received that state's highest technology award. Dr. Costa has been a speaker and presenter at national conferences for the past decade. His subjects have included school technologies, school accountability, evaluation, and strategic planning in education. Dr. Costa has served on numerous state and national conference committees including the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Executive Board, The MA Education Technology Advisory Board (ETAC) and currently chairs the Technology Committee for MASS.
