Chris Gosselin

Chris Gosselin is the Digital Learning Coach in the Andover Public Schools at the Sanborn School: a dynamic and innovative 1:1 elementary school that serves students in grades K-5. Chris received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, VT in 2009 and his Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College in Boston, MA in 2011.
Before shifting into the field of Digital Learning, Chris taught high school English Language Arts in the Westford and Wakefield public schools. His presenting and writing on digital learning and literacy has been published on many websites and blogs, most notably Edutopia.org and ISTE.org on topics including authentic assessment, digital storytelling, effective coaching practices and empowering student voice in learning.

Chris co-coordinates EdSurge’s Boston Technology Leadership Circle, which is a group of technology-minded educators  in Massachusetts working to connect and network leaders in education who are willing to share resources in digital learning. Recently, Chris was featured in a short film on collaborating with digital tools in the elementary writing classroom produced by Cabin 5 Media for Cengage Learning, one of the nation’s leading education textbook publishers.

Chris is an active performer and director in the Massachusetts educational theater community. Currently, he serves as the Music Director for the award-winning Westford Academy Theater Arts. Since 2006, Chris has served as the founding Music Director at the Summer School for the Performing Arts (http://www.sspawestford.org [1]) in Westford, MA. Enrolling over 250 students ages 8-18, and with a staff of 60, SSPA produces over 10 productions in six weeks. Additionally, since 2010, Chris has served on Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s Executive Council.
