To MassCUE Members and all Massachusetts K12 Schools: MassCue - CLP # 4400064813
We are very pleased to inform you all of an opportunity for significant price savings on your Adobe software license purchases for Massachusetts K12 schools. MassCUE is enrolled in an agreement with Adobe Systems to provide Adobe software pricing for K12 schools in the state (public, charter, and private) at the lowest Adobe Education Contractual License Program (CLP) prices. In the past, only the largest school districts in the state were able to meet the minimum orders to obtain this best CLP pricing for their software purchases, while districts with smaller purchases had to use the more expensive Transactional License Program (TLP) and single unit education licensing prices. All Massachusetts K12 schools are now covered for the lowest prices from Adobe with no minimum orders required.
The current two-year agreement runs through August 31, 2008 when it will be renewed for another 2-year period that will run from September 1, 2008 through September 30, 2010. The Adobe CLP Agreement for MassCUE offers a tremendous potential savings for all Massachusetts K12 schools/districts. Several years ago, software reseller CCV Software/JourneyEd originally helped to bring this opportunity for software discounts to Massachusetts for all of the K12 schools by working with MassCUE, the Massachusetts Department of Education, and Adobe Systems.
What does this mean for your school/district?
• This is a voluntary program open to all Massachusetts K12 schools, providing the opportunity for schools to purchase any education software title in any quantity at the Adobe CLP - Level 3 price lists. This list is the best Adobe pricing offered in education. For example, before the Adobe MA K12 CLP was signed, a single license of Acrobat 8 Professional was $159 SRP. Now, under the Adobe MA K12 CLP, the price for a single license of Acrobat 8 Professional is only $40 SRP.
• There are no minimum quantity requirements to be met in order to take advantage of the new Adobe pricing.
• Purchases can be for faculty/staff machines, school labs, laptop programs, or for administrative office computers.
• When buying software, schools/districts will order the number of licenses needed, plus one set of media (Windows and/or Macintosh) needed to install their licenses. Documentation (user guides) are available as an optional purchase. An Upgrade Plan (also called Maintenance or “upgrade insurance”) is another option available under the Adobe CLP.
• You will place your orders directly with your chosen reseller, using the MassCUE CLP contract number. MassCUE does NOT purchase the software for schools - it is simply providing the mechanism for the lowest Adobe pricing to be offered to you.
• Schools are still bound to all standard licensing agreements, such as ensuring that proper copyright protections are followed.
