Description: Proper design is critical when first setting up your Domain environment. If the design of your structure is not set up correctly it could lead to excess administration. In addition, we need the tools to manage and administer a Windows 2003 network centrally. Microsoft has built-in tools such as Group Policies that will help us with these tasks.
This academy is intended to supply valuable information in proper design, implementation and administration of Windows 2003 in an educational environment. With hands-on activities you will work in teams of two to understand and implement the following:
- Designing a Windows 2003 Structure
- Setup of a Windows 2003 Structure
- Design of a proper Organizational Unit Structure
- Setup of this structure
- Implementation of A Group Policy Structure
- Using built in Administration tools to administer a Windows 2003 network
- Best practices for securing your network
Who should attend: IT Directors , System Administrator s, IT Staff, and support personnel will find this workshop extremely beneficial. A minimum knowledge of Windows 2003 and XP is appropriate.
About the instructor: Philip Sullivan is Network Manager of Belmont Public Schools. He is also a Windows NT/2000/2003 Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) as well as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Currently Phil is also associated with Clark University 's Computer Career Institute training individuals in Windows 2003 design and advanced troubleshooting. His natural ability to train as well as his Industry experience will greatly benefit the participants of this course.
