Learning Tour Overview

Natick Public Schools will host Learning Tours on the Natick “BLEND” for Personalized Learning on December 14, 2016. Come and see how the Natick Public Schools has implemented Blended Learning models and Innovative Learning spaces in grades 1-12 to support student-centered, personalized learning. Their multifaceted approach to personalized learning includes, digital/blended learning to engage students, using data and assessments to inform instruction, shifting the teachers’ role to that of designer of learning/coach, innovative learning spaces, and a focus on future ready, college and career skills.

The Natick belief is that when we use digital learning in combination with skilled teachers we can better match the level of the child’s learning and learning style to meet the challenges of future college and career readiness. Bring a district team and visit Natick classrooms at the Elementary, Middle, and/or High School level in a variety of the content areas.

Agenda for December 14, 2016:

8AM – 8:20 AM – Registration/Breakfast

8:20 AM – 9:30 AM – Welcome and Kickoff in Auditorium – Commissioner Mitchell Chester, Michael Horn, Dr. Peter Sanchioni, MAPLE Consortium Kickoff

9:30 AM – 9:45 AM – travel to Elementary/Middle schools

9:50 AM – noon – Learning Tours at Natick High School, or Wilson Middle School or Brown Elementary School in Natick
