Microsoft Tools for Addressing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Meeting the Needs of Diverse Student Populations

Come discover specific Microsoft Office 365 applications that are FREE for everyone! What’s even better news for educators, is that these applications meet the Universal Design for Learning guidelines; as well as, the needs of diverse learners. With these applications in your toolkit, you are sure to become one of the most effective and efficient educators, who master the competencies of student engagement, enrichment, and achievement.

 Morning session:

Working collaboratively together let’s build an Office 365 One Note Notebook for instructional planning and delivery. We will include sections such as Lesson Planning, Special Education Modification, English Language Learner Modifications, STEM and STEAM connections, Additional Resources for Varying Instruction, Tests, Homework and Quizzes.

 Afternoon session:

We will begin adding content to each of the notebook sections. We will introduce you to other free Office 365 applications such as SWAY, Office MIX, Learning Tools, Word and Power Point Online; so that you can include those when completing different sections of your notebook.

John Nguyen

John Nguyen is the Director of Program Operations for the non-profit Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL.)  Prior to this, John served in the Public and Charter school arena for 12 years. In that time, he served as a Science Teacher, Instructional Coordinator, Alternative Certification Officer, Assistant Principal and Principal. John’s Master’s degree is in Acupuncture, Chinese and Oriental Medicine. Upon graduation, he opened his own clinic and practiced for several years before going into education.
