Fed Resources in Personal Finance

This session highlights FREE interactive, computer-based personal finance resources offered by the Federal Reserve and other nonprofit organizations. Resources include: curriculum units, games, competitions, research projects, publications, videos, and web-based activities including: interactive budgeting exercises aimed at teens: cars, college, etc.; a “reality check” exercise showing salary levels required to support the style of living students hope to enjoy as adults; an exercise in calculating how much a dollar bought in the past compared to now, following the route of a check from start to finish; playing “bank examiner” to see how banks are evaluated for safety; and a “jeopardy-style” game about consumer rights and identity theft.
