must be made directly with the Sturbridge Host Hotel and Conference
Center. Call 800-582-3232 for reservations. Rooms usually fill quickly.

In
Case of Emergency
If someone needs to reach you in the event of an emergency they
can call the hotel desk (508-347-7393), and the hotel staff will
notify MassCUE's conference personnel. We do not have the ability
to have you paged in the presentation rooms, but we will attempt
to find you.
Cancelled
Workshops
Workshops are not often cancelled at the conference, but sometimes
a presenter cannot fulfill her commitment due to circumstances beyond
his/her control. To avoid the disappointment of finding your preferred
presentation cancelled at the last minute:
Check
the Conference Web Site or Conference Message Board: There will
be a message board set up near the registration area. Check the
board for any session cancellations or additions to the conference
program. You will also find any cancellations listed on this web
site.

The handouts received prior to the conference will be loaded on
the computers in “CUE Central” where participants will
be invited to download the files onto their flash drives to take

Commercial
(Exhibitor) Workshops
The program committee has worked with exhibitors to make sure they've
used teacher-presenters or have had teachers take part in the planning
of their presentations. Therefore, we have discontinued using the
“Commercial” designation in our program listing. Expect
to learn how a product can be valuable to you in your classroom
in all workshops you attend.
Featured
Presentations
In addition to their keynote speeches, Kenneth Jones and Jennifer
Corriero will each present 2 workshops.
Kathy
Schrock, well known educator and web site author, will be presenting
on Wednesday, November 17.
Pathfinder
Awards
Each year MassCUE recognizes a number of educators and leaders from
across the state who have demonstrated leadership in their ability
to find an effective pathway for planning and integrating the uses
of technologies in education. Join us on Wednesday evening as we
present a dinner reception to honor this year's recipients.
Conference
Website
Use the MassCUE Conference website to plan ahead by identifying
workshops that meet your own criteria.
Parking
Alert
Don't be late for your first session.
If the Sturbridge Host lot is full, don't park in the lots of any
of the businesses that are adjacent to the Host. Your car will be
towed. When the Host parking lot is filled, you will be directed
to a satellite parking lot 2 miles away. Beginning before 8 AM,
there will be shuttle buses to drive you from the satellite parking
to the Host and back again when you're ready to leave.
Carpool
if you can. Save a parking space! Most people arrive before 8 AM,
so plan to arrive early in case you need to take the time to leave
your car in the satellite parking lot.
Certificates
of Attendance
The Massachusetts Department of Education has ruled that PDP Providers
may not award PDPs for attendance at professional conferences. In
order for a course to qualify, it would have to involve a minimum
of 10 hours of instruction, and there would have to be an exam or
a written project/product at the end. MassCUE will provide certificates
of attendance. Participants may use the certificates of attendance
to combine with other hours and follow-up activities to earn PDPs
in their districts.
