How can technology support and enhance what's happeningin our schools? TIE SIG discusses student use of technology, as well as teacheruse. We examine available resources and what works and investigatenew technologies. We invite teachers, pre-teachers, technology specialists, administrators, and parents to our sessions and hope to share and learn fromeach other.

Our new blog area at http://ebiggs.edublogs.org a focal point for discussion and resource sharing between meetings. Checkit out our growing list of member blog links as well as our program brochurefor the 2006-2007 year. Leave a comment or better yet plan toattend a SIG session!

We meet at the BurlingtonPublic Library, usually on Tuesdays from 4-6 p.m. Each meeting starts with casual introductions and snacks and announcements. The major topic or presentation begins about 4:30 and continues until 6:00.

We enjoy wireless web accessfor our meetings in the library due to the efforts of the SIG group. Workingwith the library staff, we planned installation of a small network hub andbase station to service the entire building and supplement the library'sweb access.
