Tuesday November 13, 2007 | Sturbridge Host Hotel | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

A hands-on interactive PD opportunity the day before the MassCUE conference!

Back by popular demand after a great day last May!
Come with your administrator to make the most of discussing and planning your tech program!

The Intel Teach Leadership Forum provides face-to-face professional development focusing on the importance of leadership in promoting, supporting, and modeling the use of technology in instruction.

Four hours in the morning delivers meaningful content, strategies and materials.
Stay for the afternoon to attend the train-the-trainer session after lunch!

Join John Judge for an exhilarating day of exploring, reflecting and planning for moving your technology program forward to promote student achievement. The afternoon will be a train the trainer session so that you can bring the program content back to your district!

In this 4-hour forum, participants engage with their peers to:

  • Examine the critical role leaders play in the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning

  • Apply their knowledge to create a prioritized list of leadership behaviors that impact the integration of technology as a tool to improve student learning

  • Analyze the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators (NETS-A)

  • Synthesize their understanding to begin development of a personalized action plan to implement in their school or district

The Intel Leadership Forum guides school leaders as they support and promote effective technology integration and student achievement in K-12 classrooms. This four-hour forum will help you address your unique needs and circumstances through relevant research, case studies, and alignment to standards on best practices, available resources, leadership standards and behaviors, and the opportunity to construct a personal action plan.

Results from respondents reveal positive impact for instructional leaders:

  • Most participants said the ideas and skills they learned from the forum would help them improve teacher effectiveness and student achievement by supporting and promoting the integration of technology.

  • A large majority said the "likelihood of forum ideas and skills improving teacher effectiveness and student achievement by supporting technology" was yes.

  • Most Participant Leaders reported that they would recommend the forum to a friend or colleague.

  • Our May attendees requested another Forum so they could return with their administrators to continue the dialogue and extend its benefits!
