Workshop 7 : "MassONE, a Vehicle for Technology Integration"

Prerequiste: Participants must be registered for MassOne and know their Username and Password.

Time (starting and ending): 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (includes 1/2 hour for lunch)

Directions: Located off Rt. 93, north of Boston. From Rt. 93 take exit 36 onto Montvale Ave. and take a right towards Woburn. At the next set of lights take a left onto Washington St.; travel 2.1 mi. Take a right at Mystic Valley Pkwy. On street parking.

Description of what will be covered: Put yourself in the driver's seat and facilitate technology/curriculum integration and communication with your class from one convenient Internet location, MassONE. As an interactive member of a workgroup (this workshop) you will explore and utilize the tools and resources that MassONE offers under the premise of various technology integration scenarios. The second half will be dedicated to setting up your class workgroup and creating a technology infused lesson complete with documents and web sites for your class or professional development workshop.

PDPs: To receive PDP's for this workshop please submit a lesson plan to the dropbox of the VHD. The lesson plan should demonstrate use of a variety of tools of MassONE. Please also upload the handouts and web sites that you would use with your class or professional development group.

- VHD (Virtual Hard Drive)

- Discussion Forums

- Survey Tool

- TLR (Teaching and Learning Resources)

- Curriculum Tools

- TSAT (Technology Self-Assessment Tool)

Ideas of how to use MassONE with a class or for professional development.

Any materials attendees need to bring with them: List of 2007-2008 students in your class (optional) and a curriculum or PD topic.

Refreshments you will provide: Coffee, juice and a snack for the morning.

Refreshments attendees can bring: Bag lunch or enjoy the large selection of Winchester eateries within walking distance of the school.
