Workshop 2: "Using MassOne and Applications for the Classroom"

Directions: From Worcester: I-290 E to Church Street via EXIT 24 toward Northboro / Westboro. Turn right onto Pleasant Street. Turn right onto Lincoln Street.
From Route 495: take Route 20 West. Travel approximately 6 miles to Northborough Center. Turn right on Lincoln Street .

Description of what will be covered: Workshop will include using and practicing with the MassOne Tools (announcements, discussion forum, curriculum, survey, calendar, Virtual Hard Drive, and Teaching and Learning Resources). Setting up a classroom group by rostering students in your school and making a student drop box. What to do if students forget their passwords, finding students that are registered but are not yet listed in your schools district. How to set up a survey for your classroom or school, using curriculum tools to create lesson plans, what is a forum and how would you use it in your classroom. Examples of classroom applications will be reviewed and discussed.
What will participants will take away with them from participating: Participants will have accomplished setting up at least one classroom group, a survey and a drop box for that class. Ideas on how to used MassOne with students in the classroom. A booklet with information on using MassOne and the tools will also be available.
Any materials attendees need to bring with them: Apple computers will be available for use.
Refreshments provided: bottle water, soda, coffee, cookies, and fruit.
